What Exactly Is Window Tinting?
Window tint is also known as window film. It is made of either metallic or plastic laminate and it is transparent. It is applied directly to the window glass. Window tint comes in a variety compositions with different optical effects. Since window tint is applied to finished glass, it is much less expensive than specialty glass that has been chemically altered. The film can work in a variety of ways based on the user's needs. 


Can I Remove Window Tinting Myself?
Professional window tint is designed to be permanent, however, if you feel the need to have it removed, it can be done without causing any damage. There are reasons that you may want to remove the film, such as a potential buyer not wanting the window tint.  If you are renting an office space and you are moving, the management company may require that you remove it upon your departure.

Is the Window Tint Transparent?

If you are using the tint for solar control, you would typically go with a completely transparent tint. This type of tint provides an effect that is similar to wearing a pair of high-quality sunglasses. If the tint is installed properly, it will be unnoticeable and it offers an amazing result.  


How Dark is the Window Tint, Do I Have Options? 
The darkness of the tint is entirely up to you and is often based on your need. For example, some businesses choose patterns that give the windows design and privacy. For businesses looking for a lighter space, they should use a non-reflective, clear tint. Some businesses choose something in between. The options are basically unlimited. 


Does it Block Light?

Will the Tint Fit on All of My Windows?
Window film can be cut and modified to fit any shape window. We will customize each window sheet so that it matches the shape and size of the window exactly. If you have a very large window, we will use perfected techniques and measurements so that the seams won't be visible at all. Window film can be safely and easily installed on any type of door and window including bay windows, French doors, single and double hung windows, bay windows, casement, and storm windows. The list of window and door types is endless. 


Can Tint Be Installed On Double Pane Windows and Doors?
Tint can be applied to all types of modern dual window panes. It can also be installed on tempered windows and those that have a LOW-E coating. 


What About Skylights?
The effect that window film has on skylights is amazing. It is the only addition that can make the skylights look even better than they already do. When applying tint to skylights, our skilled technicians will use a combination of their perfected technique and the proper window film. 


Can My Dog, Cat or Other Pets Damage My Window Tinting?
Some pets will scratch on the door to let their owners know that they need to go outside or because they are ding dongs (let's be honest here). Over time, this pawing on the tint can cause damage. Some clients add a guard to the areas their pets are most likely to cause damage.
